Air Canada.

Haneda Airport/

High Tech Washroom |
Ingrid Hofer.
Ingrid-

Previously.....
Air Canada f8cked me over. I barely made it to the flight to Tokyo.
Back to the story.
After 12 hours of long flight, I had finally arrived in Tokyo. The meals on the plane were pretty good. ANA gave us Hagen Daz ice cream as part of our breakfast! even though it was freakin' hard....
The first thing I saw after getting off from the plane was dawn. It was quite a sight especially after what I just went through. So, after checking out at the custom I went to get my luggage.

Dawn/
There, I saw an ANA staff holding a sign that has my name on it. I said to myself, "sh*t....oh f*ck." I went up to him and told him I was the person he was looking for. He then told me that my luggage was still in LA. F*ck. My clothes were in there. My computer. Most of my money were in there.
He took me to the ANA counter and to sort the problem out. In the end, we decided to have ANA sent my luggage to Rebun but that would take at least a week to arrive. Since I was out of any other options, so I had to agree. Damn Air Canada. I hate you. I hate you bunch of fat cats. I hate you with all my heart. F*ck you Air Canada.
BUT.....since I could not do anything about that so I had to continue with yet another flight transfer. I lined up at the ANA domestic transfer desk then I overheard someone talking about Wakkanai in English....like really loud. I turned around and saw two girls and I asked them if they were part of the archaeology team. They said yes and turned out they were part of the people meeting up at Wakkanai Airport. The two girl both came from LA but on a different flight as me and they both went/goes to UCLA.
Seung-wan Choi- A Korean-American girl. Typical American. Loud. Needs to add the f word every few sentence.
Deidre Whitmore- Also American. The opposite of Seung-wan. She had already graduated from UCLA recently, probably around the same time as me.
We went to the shuttle bus to the domestic terminal but before that, we saw Haneda's washroom. It was so futuristic! There were so many shining things!
We arrived at the domestic terminal and sat down and just our luck, 2 girls who were sitting there already also spoke English. What was more surprising was that they were part of the team too!

I met Erin and Ingrid here....I think/應該是我遇見Erin跟Ingrid 的地方 |
Erin Bird- Like me, she is from the Pacific Northwest. She was going to Portland State University and was going to graduate soon.
Ingrid Hofer- A bit younger than the rest of us and she goes to the sponsoring school, UofA.
Even though I had just met them. I already had some own personal opinions on these guys.
Seung-wan- LOUD like really really loud but she seems to be the fun one. I always like people who are loud anyway rather than silent emo types and it's not like I don't say f words anyway.
Deidre- She seems very smart and knows a lot of things.
Erin- She's from the Pacific Northwest so naturally I can talk to her about some common thing that we know of. AKA RAIN.
Ingrid- She talks a lot. Sometimes a little too much.
Everyone had their own personalities and I thought that was what would make this trip fun. Meeting all sorts of people! Best of all, everyone studies(d) ARCHAEOLOGY! unlike my regular friends back in Vancouver. "Oh why are you studying archaeology?" "Are you trying to be like Indiana Jones?"
To be Continued...
