正式決定去日本做考古!
六月初
一開始我是想在日本待個2個禮拜左右可是想說以後可能也不會常去所以乾脆拉長一點好了.把兩個禮拜拉長為一個月到8月30日. 在網路上看到了關於JR PASS的存在所以覺得很方便而且可以任你搭新幹線及任何JR火車. 利用這個pass的話就可以省下許多錢. 聽了媽媽的建議先暫時不安排田野完後在北海道的行程因為可能會認識朋友一起玩北海道.我原本的打算是只去東京,大阪之類的大城市不過後來我想說既然會在日本待一個月那就去好好玩整個日本吧.
這是我當時排好的行程表
6月28日抵達稚內(原本要29日到結果機票價差了300塊加幣....所以決定提前一天到)
八月 7 東京
9 長崎
12 福岡
13 廣島
14 大阪
17 京都
20 名古屋
21 橫濱
22-30 東京
媽媽又跟我說既然都在亞洲了那就順便回台灣吧. 所以最終行程變成.
8月31~9月7日 台灣
最後機票大概花了1300塊加幣. 從溫哥華飛LA轉東京再轉到北海道的稚內然後從東京飛回台灣再從桃園飛回溫哥華.
..........不知不覺, 我的畢業典禮也到了.
畢業典禮前幾天我一直很在意新X小姐會不會參加因為他那時候住離溫哥華滿遠的地方可是再想也沒用.
畢業典禮時發現新X小姐跑來看我了. 當時的我真的覺得世界是黑白的除了彩色的我們倆. 典禮完後, 新X小姐跟我說一些關於東京的事(他媽媽是日本人, 爸爸是英國人. 不過我一直把他當日本人看就是了).
原本我計畫典禮完後要去辦party可是沒想到溫哥華的曲棍球隊會打到冠軍賽第7場所以根本沒人理我 :( 可是後來溫哥華隊慘敗而引發了市中心的大暴動.
暴動完幾天後, 我跑去買出田野需要的器具. 買了工作用手套跟平的鏟子.
就這樣到了28日. 媽媽和妹妹送我到機場而我也將開始我的日本旅.
誰知道我的日本旅會有一個永身難忘的開始......不是好的開始就對了.

I'm going to Japan for excavation!
Early June
Originally, I was going to stay in Japan for about two weeks but I thought I might have another chance to go there again anytime soon so I decided to extend my stay into the entire month of August. I read online about the JR PASS which is a pass that allows you to take any trains by JR (yes, that includes shinkansen too) and by buying the pass, I would be able to freely travel across Japan. I listened to my mom's advice on postponing my immediate schedule after the dig because I might make new friends there who might travel in Hokkaido too. I was thinking about just staying in big cities such as Tokyo and Osaka for an extended time but I thought I should use the entire month to go to other places as well.
So here's my schedule of the trip at that time.
Leave Vancouver on June 28th. Arrive in Haneda Airport on June 29th then transfer to Wakkanai Airport. Meet with the archaeology group on the 30th at Wakkanai Ferry Port. (Originally, I was going to arrive on the 30th but for some reason, ticket price was two, three hundred dollars more expensive. So, I decided to arrive a day early.)

My mom told me since I was going to be in Asia then I might as well go back to Taiwan for a few days. So, with that in mind. The final schedule is....
August 30-September 7th Taiwan
The entire trip cost about $1300 CDN. First, fly to transfer at LAX then to Haneda and from there to Wakkanai. Finally, from Tokyo to Taoyuan and Taoyuan to Vancouver.
After planning these out, my convocation arrived.....
Few days before the convocation, I was so worried about not being able to see Ms.*F because she was living some distance away from Vancouver but I knew it was pointless for me to keep on thinking about that. When my convocation really arrived, she showed up. I was so happy, I honestly thought the world had turned to black and white and we were the only things that were not. That was how happy I was. After the convocation, I planned a dinner but that was canceled due to Vancouver Canucks' championship game 7. They Lost and there was a riot at downtown Vancouver. I told YOU GUYS, you should had come to the dinner with me and instead one of you breathed in some gas the cops threw. Yes, I'm talking about you, BARRY CHEN!
Few days after the riot, I went to downtown and got all my supplies for the dig. AKA my trowel.
....and June 28th had arrived!
Mom and sister took me to the airport for a sendoff but at that time, little did I know I was not going to have a good start. Oh no, not a good start AT ALL.
Here's a little preview....
